January is a great time to bring in new ideas and inspirations. If we hold a womb space or winter den for them, we can incubate and gestate something new.
New ideas and inspirations come and go. It is only the ones we hold lightly, those that receive our attention and intention that can develop and grow.
We nurture these in our musings, meditations, dreams, journaling, and sketching. But too much talk can disperse the manifesting energy. Holding a protective space is vital.
Bears are great teachers about incubation. They can delay the implantation of fertilized eggs so that the bear cubs can gestate, be birthed, and tended while still in the protective Winter den. By the time Spring calls the family out, all are ready to emerge.
We can borrow that Bear wisdom and take the time and space to tend the new and fragile until they are solid enough to be out in the world.
