OCCUPY YOURSELF Part Two
Occupiers everywhere have been showing up and taking a stand as citizen leaders in a collaborative model of decision-making. They are not only pointing out what’s wrong, sharing analysis and critique, but they are offering up their vision of the world they want and creative ways to manifest it. It works on the micro level too.
The Fluent Body looks at the challenges a client is facing. We name aches and pains and problems. AND we also ask, “What else is here?” There is always inherent health, that energetic matrix of support that underlies all our symptoms. There is always something that is working for our greater good.
What’s not working in your life, and what’s your bigger, better vision?
- Make a list of what is not working in your life.
- For every item on that list, write beside it how you want things to be. It is so important to honor the longing for a different way. And while you may not be able to change the actual events, you can change your response to them.
- Bring in gratitude. If what’s not working is that you have chronic pain in your lower back, be grateful that your body is speaking to you. Give thanks for all the daily things that are going right in your body. Find out what support you need that you’ve been denying yourself and get it. Stretches, deep rest, hot baths, massage, chiropractic, Reiki, craniosacral therapy are some things your lower back might be telling you it needs.
