The Letting Go and the Leap
In Autumn we're asked to let go of things that haven’t come to fruition this year. This may bring up disappointment or self-criticism or it can kick up the Big Grief. We can notice all those feelings AND also get curious to ask:
What’s still ripening and needs more nurture?
What can you compost?
What seeds can you save to plant again?
What is the real harvest you are reaping?
Rather than clinging to a specific outcome, the inner Teacher opens us up to the better outcome for this moment. That’s the letting go AND the leap…of faith…of imagination.
Consider when you’ve hit a block in manifesting something in the past. In hindsight, you may understand that something unexpected grew from those original seeds of intention. You might have called it a detour, but it was really the pull of your inner wisdom guiding you onward.
The leap is intuiting what’s really needed now and trusting that the Universe is always putting people, places, and things in front of you as opportunities to grow and heal.
Maybe that thing didn’t manifest as you intended because it’s time for more rest or urgent healing and spiritual growth. Maybe that thing needs re-imagining or re-engineering. May you need to shift in relationship with yourself and with others. So many possible factors in right alignment, right placement, right timing.
I’m in the leap right now. Kimiko Kawabori and I’ve chosen to postpone our offering Creating with the Ancestors. It did not draw enough participants to run during this peak Ancestor season. Twice. So without doubting the essential offering or us as a teaching team, we’re heading back to the lab to offer a remix for sometime in 2026.
What’s clear is that we are two Japanese American healer women trying to do something public. Apparently our issues around leadership, visibility, and safety need more resolution.
The outer context cannot be ignored. Now in the U.S. racist hysteria and incarceration of innocent people eerily echoes what happened to people who look like us during World War II. Now in the U.S. women’s rights are being taken away. Not being white, not being male is somehow a threat right now, so stepping forward to use our voices and share our gifts is stirring up ancestral fears. Throw in the activation of cellular memory from the Burning Times that we carry as women healers, and we’re dealing with a trifecta of trauma.
The Ancestors put us together as a team, have supported our offering, and now are pointing to this essential healing we are to do with each other. This will give us stronger roots for when we offer Creating with the Ancestors again.
With every manifestation, there’s some variation of this behind the scenes process. As in energy medicine generally, what is unseen on the surface is really running the show and needs our conscious awareness.
